How is the Recovery After Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery?

How is the Recovery After Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery?

Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery | Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery | West HollywoodIf you’re looking for a way to enhance your curves and get the perfect silhouette, a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is an ideal option. A BBL is a cosmetic procedure that helps to sculpt and lift the buttocks to give it a more toned and voluminous appearance. Recovery is an important part of the process, as it helps to ensure that the results are long-lasting. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides Brazilian butt lift to patients in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and surrounding locations.

Brazilian Butt Lift

A Brazilian Butt Lift is a cosmetic procedure that helps to enhance the shape and size of the buttocks. The procedure is done by transferring fat from other parts of the body (such as the abdomen, hips, and thighs) to the buttocks. This helps to give the buttocks a more voluminous and toned appearance.

The procedure is popular among patients who want to achieve a more curvaceous look. It’s also great for those who have lost a significant amount of weight or have had a significant change in their body shape.

The procedure is done under general anesthesia and takes about two to three hours to complete. Before the procedure, the patient will have a consultation with the surgeon to discuss their expectations for the procedure and make sure that the patient is a good candidate for the procedure.

Procedure

The Brazilian Butt Lift procedure is done in three stages. In the first stage, the surgeon will make small incisions in the areas where the fat will be taken from. This is typically done in the abdomen, hips, and/or thighs. The fat is then suctioned out using a liposuction cannula.

In the second stage, the fat is processed and purified. This helps to ensure that only the healthy fat cells are transferred to the buttocks. In the third stage, the purified fat is injected into the buttocks using a syringe. This helps to give the buttocks a more contoured and toned appearance.

Recovery

Patients typically experience some bruising, swelling, and soreness in the areas where the fat was taken from and injected. This is completely normal and should subside within a few days.

Patients are typically able to return to their normal activities within a few days of the procedure. However, it’s important to take it easy and avoid strenuous activities until the swelling and bruising has subsided. It’s also important to follow the post-operative instructions provided by the surgeon.

It’s also important to note that the full results of the procedure may not be visible for several weeks or months. This is because it takes time for the fat cells to become established in the new area.

Recovery Tips

There are some important tips to keep in mind during the recovery process. First, it’s important to keep the area clean and dry. This helps to prevent infection and ensure that the area heals properly. Second, it’s important to keep the area elevated. This helps to reduce swelling and discomfort. Third, it’s important to wear loose-fitting clothing and avoid tight clothing or anything that puts pressure on the area.

Finally, it’s important to avoid strenuous activities, such as running and heavy lifting for at least six weeks after the procedure. This helps to ensure that the area has healed properly and that the results are long-lasting.

Can I Get a Brazilian Butt Lift?

Am I A Good Candidate For Brazilian Butt Lift? | Beverly Hills Plastic SurgeryA Brazilian butt lift is a popular form of plastic surgery in which fat is removed from one area of the body and injected into the buttocks to create a more full and round appearance. This procedure has become increasingly popular in recent years, as many people are looking to achieve a more voluptuous figure. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides Brazilian butt lift to patients in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and surrounding locations.

Procedure

The Brazilian butt lift procedure begins with the patient being placed under general anesthesia. Once the patient is asleep, the surgeon will begin to remove fat from one area of the body, typically the abdomen, hips, or thighs. This fat is then purified and injected into the buttocks to create a fuller, more voluptuous shape. The procedure itself typically takes between two and four hours, depending on how much fat is being removed and injected.

Once the procedure is complete, the patient will be monitored to ensure that they are recovering properly. The patient will be given detailed instructions on how to care for themselves during their recovery period, including avoiding activities that may cause strain or injury to the area.

Ideal Candidates

The ideal candidate for a Brazilian butt lift is someone who is in good overall health and is looking to achieve a more voluptuous figure. The procedure is not typically recommended for those who are significantly overweight or have a body mass index (BMI) over 30. Additionally, the procedure is not recommended for those with a history of blood clots, diabetes, or any other medical conditions that could interfere with their recovery.

In addition to being in good health, the ideal candidate for a Brazilian butt lift should also have enough fat in other areas of their body to remove and inject into the buttocks. Your surgeon will determine whether you have enough fat and skin laxity in the buttocks during your initial consultation.

Schedule a Consultation

If you think you may be a good candidate for a Brazilian butt lift, the best way to know for sure is to schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. During your consultation, your surgeon will evaluate your health and discuss the risks and benefits of the procedure with you. It’s important to be honest with your surgeon about any medical conditions or medications you’re taking, as this can have an effect on your candidacy.

Your surgeon will also discuss your goals for the procedure, as well as any existing fat deposits you may have. This will help them determine how much fat they need to remove and inject, as well as what kind of results you can expect. Once your consultation is complete, you and your surgeon can decide together if a Brazilian butt lift is right for you. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides Brazilian butt lift to patients in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and surrounding locations.
