Liposuction For Your Arms

Liposuction For Your Arms

Liposuction For Your Arms | Beverly Hills | West HollywoodOccurrence of excess fat deposits in the back of the upper arms is a common problem. It can be difficult to eliminate this fat with exercise or diet.

An experienced surgeon can provide liposuction cosmetic surgery to tone the outer and inner parts of the upper arm, and also the biceps and shoulders. Liposuction of the arms is designed to sculpt the arm and improve its overall shape and appearance in a safe and sustainable way.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides arms liposuction to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and surrounding locations.

Need for Arms Liposuction

Patients choose to undergo arms liposuction for a number of reasons:

  • To achieve slimmer arms that can tone easily.
  • To remove the excess flab in the arms, especially at the back of the arms.
  • To have more photogenic look.
  • To remove the excess fat that might hang down from the back of the upper arms.

Surgical Procedure

The surgeon will perform an arms liposuction plastic surgery using local anesthesia in most cases. Once the arm area is numbed, the surgeon will begin the procedure by placing minor incisions in discreet locations to minimize subsequent scarring.

If the patient wishes not to feel or remember anything during the surgery, they may choose to have general or twilight anesthesia instead of “awake” liposuction.

Techniques for Arms Liposuction

Liposuction of the arms is aimed at only removing excess fat. It will not tighten or remove any loose or hanging skin around the arms. If the patient’s skin has enough elasticity, it would tighten on its own. Such patients are ideal candidates for arms liposuction.

However, if the arms skin requires tightening, the surgeon may recommend an additional procedure to reduce sagging skin, such as an arms lift.

In recent years, many patients have shown interest in receiving laser liposuction for arms fat removal as an alternative to the traditional liposuction surgery.

Laser liposuction for the arms is not necessarily “safer” or “better” than tumescent liposuction, but it could help to make the procedure more targeted and less invasive. However, just as with other forms of liposuction, laser lipo is not meant to tighten loose upper arm skin.

Liposuction for arms could be the most effective solution to attain the slim, toned look of the upper arms. However, patients should know that the technique of arms liposuction does not matter as much as the skill and experience of the surgeon.

An accomplished body contouring surgeon will recommend the best surgical technique for the patient’s unique needs. This is vital to achieving desirable outcomes.

Recovery after an Arms Liposuction Surgery

Temporary side effects following an arms liposuction may include swelling, bruising, and a changed sensation, including tingling and numbness.

Recovery time will vary from one patient to another, but most people are able to go back to work within a few days. Bruising is likely to resolve in 2-4 weeks, while swelling from the treated sites will resolve in about 1-2 months.

Arm Lift

Depending on the patient’s needs, the surgeon may combine arms liposuction with an arms lift surgery. To remove the loose skin in the upper arms, brachioplasty or upper arm lift procedure is the proper and normal route to take.

However, patients should be aware that it can leave a scar down the inside of the upper arm. The scar will remain concealed when the arms are down at the sides, but may be visible when the patient raises the arm.

Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie receives patients from Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and nearby areas for arms liposuction.

Liposuction For Your Bra Rolls

Liposuction For Your Bra Rolls | Beverly Hills | West HollywoodAny person may experience a negative impact on their self-esteem due to unwanted body fat. This is also true of women who have a bra line bulge, which can be a cause for self-consciousness.

An experienced surgeon will assess how liposuction cosmetic surgery can help treat bra bulge, enabling women to appear their best. In general, the bulge around the bra line occurs due to unwanted fat located around the armpits, the mid and upper back, the sides of the torso, and the front torso where the abdomen and chest meet.

Spot reduction is really a myth and the fat around the torso and back is particularly challenging to eliminate through diet and exercise alone. Fortunately, liposuction offers a safe and effective solution to get rid of unattractive fat pockets.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides liposuction of the bra rolls to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and surrounding communities.

Good Candidates

Decent liposuction candidates have only isolated pockets of body fat that they seek to eliminate. They are in good general health and do not have any medical conditions that could lead to heightened surgical risks.

Liposuction is meant to eliminate only a relatively tiny amount of body fat. A surgeon may instruct the patient to follow a balanced diet and exercise regimen before the surgery to lose weight and body fat in a natural manner. This can enhance the outcomes and long-term sustainability of the results.

Liposuction plastic surgery around the bra bulge area involves the surgeon using a cannula to eliminate unwanted body fat along the torso and back. The surgery focuses primarily on the region between the hips and armpits, creating a much more sculpted torso in the process.

If necessary, the surgeon will also address the bulge on top of the abdomen. The plastic surgeon will sculpt the fat to make the bulging around the bra straps less prominent.

It is not uncommon for patients to experience inflammation, soreness, bruising, and some fluid leakage after liposuction of the bra bulge area. These side-effects are normal and will subside over time with proper rest as well as following the post-operative guidelines closely.

Patients will need to take leave from their workplace after liposuction to recover from the procedure. Individuals with sedentary jobs may be able to resume work faster.

Final Outcome

Women do not have to worry about that unattractive bra bulge with liposuction that is targeted to the upper torso and sides. The skin around the bra straps will not appear so compressed and pushed out offering the patient a slimmer, sleeker body. There is minimal visible scarring following the procedure since the cannula is so tiny.

Liposuction outcomes can last for many years to come with a balanced diet and regular exercise regimen. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie receives patients from Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and nearby areas for liposuction of the bra rolls.

Liposuction For Your Chin, Neck, and Jawline

Liposuction For Your Chin, Neck, and Jawline | Beverly HillsOne of the first things that people notice about an individual is their neck and jaw area. A double chin, fat pockets, or jowls can adversely impact a person’s appearance, making them appear old and tired.

Over time, fatty pockets can develop in the chin, neck, and lower face. It is difficult to eliminate or reduce these fat deposits with diet and exercise. Weight loss also does not have a significant impact on these areas. Chin and neck liposuction cosmetic surgery can greatly enhance a person’s feelings of youth and confidence.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides liposuction of the chin, neck and jawline to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and surrounding locations.

Chin and Neck Liposuction for Double Chin Removal

Regardless of age, a double chin can adversely impact the appearance of an otherwise appealing face. The skin may sag, and fat can accumulate under the chin and in the front of the neck. This causes the appearance of fullness under the chin, commonly known as a “double chin.”

Liposuction plastic surgery can eliminate the fat causing the double chin. In this procedure, the surgeon will insert a thin tube, known as a cannula, into the fatty area.

They will disintegrate and remove the fat. The skin may contract and tighten by itself if it has sufficient elasticity. Otherwise, the patient may require a neck lift procedure to tighten the neck skin.

Chin and neck liposuction can be undertaken using a local anesthetic. The recovery period is brief, and most patients can resume their routine activities within a few days.

Chin and Neck Liposuction for Men and Women

Both men and women may consider liposuction of the chin and neck. The accumulation of fat in the lower face causes the development of jowls or a double chin, and this can age the entire face.

Chin and neck liposuction can effectively reduce the excess fat under chin, jowls, and neck. This lifts the entire face and restores the youthful appearance that an individual once had.

This procedure enhances the jawline enabling the facial features to appear more appealing and balanced.

How is Liposuction Performed?

At the outset of the procedure, the plastic surgeon or surgical nurse will prepare the patient’s chin and neck by sterilizing and draping the site. The surgeon will then use a pen to mark the treatment area.

The patient will then receive either local or sedation anesthesia. A local anesthetic may be used when liposuction is undertaken on smaller areas, such as the chin and neck. The patient and surgeon will discuss the most suitable anesthesia type in advance of the surgery. The patient may also be given a sedative at this point.

Now the surgeon will place a tiny incision and insert a thin tube (known as the cannula) attached to a suction tube into the fat layer in the treatment site.

They will “vacuum” the excess fat from the targeted sites with this suction procedure. The time taken for the procedure depends on the number of treatment sites and the amount of fat to be eliminated.

Safety of Chin and Neck Liposuction

Liposuction-related complications are more likely to occur when a large surface area of the body is being treated, or when a substantial amount of fat is eliminated during one surgical procedure. The risks associated with liposuction are generally reduced in the treatment of smaller areas. For this reason, chin and neck liposuction is quite safe.

Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie receives patients from Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and nearby areas for liposuction of the chin, neck, and jawline.

Liposuction For Your Buttocks

Liposuction For Your Buttocks | Beverly Hills | West HollywoodMany people seek a round, toned, and fit rear, and consider cosmetic surgery treatment for this specific area. For buttocks liposuction, the surgeon will use a customized approach to create a shapely and proportionate butt.

It is also important address other common treatment areas around the buttocks. Therefore, a comprehensive approach is especially important when treating the buttocks area. The surgeon will consider each part of the patient’s anatomy to create the best possible buttock liposuction results.

An Understanding

The buttocks themselves rarely undergo liposuction. To create a desirable buttock shape, the surgeon will eliminate fat around the butt, namely from the outer thighs, posterior, hips, upper thigh, also called the banana roll.

Patients seeking butt liposuction should work with a surgeon who understands how various parts of the body interact.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides liposuction of the buttocks to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and surrounding communities.

How Butt Liposuction is Performed

The surgeon performs buttock liposuction using a device known as a cannula, which is a thin steel tube. They will insert the cannula delicately into the fat layer of the buttocks.

The surgeon will then carefully move the cannula back and forth through the layer of fat while remaining perfectly parallel to the skin. This disintegrates the fat cells which are then suctioned out of the body through the cannula.

Similar to every procedure that the surgeon undertakes, his Beverly Hills butt liposuction is performed with minimally invasive tumescent liposuction.

Therefore, only local anesthetic is used throughout the entire process. The patient will not be asleep during the surgery, and the procedure offers benefits such as quicker healing and better outcomes than more invasive types of liposuction.

Good buttock liposuction plastic surgery candidates typically have a large, protruding butt and seek to reduce its size. Most patients also have a fairly thick layer of fat on the surface of their rear.

The surgeon removes this outer layer of fat during butt liposuction. They also sculpt it into a desirable, round shape with good muscle definition. If necessary, they may also liposuction the surrounding areas such as the thighs, hips, and flanks.

The surgeon will assess various factors including the patient’s skin elasticity and body proportions during the entire procedure. This enables the outcomes to not only be aesthetically appealing but also entirely unique to the patient.

Buttock Enhancement with Fat Transfer

Many patients can actually achieve desired outcomes with a fat transfer instead of liposuction. A fat transfer is a special procedure that creates more fullness in an area of the body. This procedure involves injecting fat taken from another body area into the treatment site.

Surgeons often find that many patients require only a simple approach to enhance the shape of their buttocks which involves taking fat from the lower butt and transferring it to the upper butt. This lifts, smoothens, and tightens the entire butt.

This gives the buttocks a more toned and fit appearance. Fat transfer is undertaken on an outpatient basis using local anesthetic. Patients experience minimal downtime and only slight discomfort.

Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie receives patients from Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and nearby areas for liposuction of the buttocks.
