How Much Does Chin Implant Surgery Cost?

Chin Implant Surgery

How Much Does Chin Implant Surgery Cost?Your chin plays a tremendous role in the aesthetic value of your face. Many people have to undergo enhancement procedures to improve their facial appearance. Chin augmentation plastic surgery helps in correcting under-developed or recessive chin.

You will need to meet your cosmetic surgeon before you can move forward with the plastic surgeon. It is important that you understand all aspects of the cosmetic surgery, including all estimated costs. Feel free to ask questions related to costs during your initial consultation with the surgeon and evaluate your budget in order to make a judicious decision.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides chin augmentation surgery to patients in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and surrounding locations.

Cost Factors

Chin augmentation surgery is a highly customizable procedure. The monetary amount of the surgery depends on various factors including patient requirements and needs. In some cases, the dollar figure of the surgery may vary widely between two patients getting the procedure at the same place. In addition, there are many other factors that influence the cost.

  1. Practice location

This is one of the critical factors determining the cost. Cost of living tends to vary depending on the location of the practice. Small town practices are generally cheaper as compared to metropolitan surgeons. This is because the area determines the cost of various types of goods and services, including plastic surgery procedures.

  1. Surgeon’s fee

Surgeon’s fee is another factor determining the overall cost of chin enhancement cosmetic surgery. The fee varies in relation to the surgeon’s expertise and skills. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons recommends choosing the best cosmetic surgeon regardless of their fee. The fee should only be a secondary consideration. Surgeon expertise and quality of service should come first.

  1. Anesthesia costs

Chin enhancement procedure is generally performed under general anesthesia. There is usually an additional anesthesiologist fee. The fee differs on the bases of their professional credentials. The venue plays a decisive factor as well.

  1. Quality of chin implants

Chin implants can be horizontal, vertical, or square depending on the needs of a patient. In addition, appearance of implants differs on the basis of the material used. Silicone and Gore-Tex implants are usually pre-shaped and look like the chin guard of a sports helmet.

Your surgeon will need to sculpt this implant for making a customized fit. The cost of sculpting shall depend on the quality, size, and number of chin implants used. Additional procedures may be performed by the surgeon if the situation calls for it. Generally, rhinoplasty is performed for a more harmonious result. In this case, the overall price tag may go up.

Insurance and Financing

Chin augmentation surgeries are primarily considered an aesthetic procedure. The cost of the plastic surgery is not covered under regular health plan. However, you can always seek medical loans for the procedure. There is a competitive market for elective surgery loans.

These loans are offered at affordable rates and convenient repayment terms and conditions by medical care finance companies. You can also speak with your surgeon about additional discounts.
