Dr. Roger Tsai is a talented plastic surgeon who recently joined the practice of Dr. Gary Motykie in Beverly Hills. Skilled in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, his focus is aesthetic cosmetic surgery. He also performs non-invasive rejuvenation and has a special interest in health and nutrition.
Dr. Tsai’s interest in the wellbeing of the human body began at the University of Florida where he earned degrees in Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Nutrition with research that shed light into liposomal drug delivery systems for cancer patients. Graduating with highest honors, he furthered his education at Drexel University College of Medicine where he discovered his passion for plastic surgery and was involved in research that focused on wound healing. Due to his significant research and academic achievements, he was accepted to train at the highly competitive integrated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency program at the University of Texas Medical Branch where he built experience at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Shriners Hospitals for Children Burn Center, and multiple cosmetic institutions. During this time, he published research articles, winning the highest award for best paper at the 2013 American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery conference. Additionally, he completed an advanced cosmetic surgery fellowship with Dr. Motykie in Beverly Hills before joining his practice.
Dr. Tsai not only promotes health and wellness but also practices them. As an athlete, he was involved in competitive swimming and tennis as a youth, and continues to this day with devoted bodybuilding and rigorous exercise along with healthy cooking and nutrition. Dr. Tsai also has an affiliation with the performing arts – skilled at playing piano, violin and saxophone. Through his love of combining art, health, and medicine, he is committed to providing the finest quality surgical experience and is honored to use his aptitude for rejuvenating the body and soul in a compassionate environment.
